Waxing Tipes For Beginners At Home

1. Pre- Waxing tips:

Most waxes require 1/4" of hair, so if your hair is longer than that, you should cut it. Since hard waxes are formed from beeswax and are not sticky, they are quite comfortable to apply, especially on long hair. Waxing can be done on hair that is quite short; the hair is ready when we can feel or see it poking out.

Exfoliate the skin for the removal of dead cells with loofahs or scrub.

Skin must be dry and clean. Dry the skin with a tissue or towel after washing it with warm water and natural soap. To ensure that the skin is clean and dry, use cornstarch in some warmer and hummed areas such as the bikini, under the arms, the chest, etc.

2. Choosing An Ideal Wax For Skin Type:

Two types of wax are available in the market, soft wax and hard wax. But mostly people use hard waxes for sensitive skin. This wax treatment gives a better hair removal treatment and goes easy with the skin.

3. Heating the Wax:

Heat the wax in wax warmers by adjusting the temperature control. The microwavable jars are now available which makes the heating process easier. Microwave minute by minute to a partially liquefied consistency. Wax should be warm, not hot and runny.

4. Applying Wax:

Apply the wax with good pressure in the direction of the hair growth and make sure that the skin is ready for the next procedure.

5. Pulling Off Wax :

The wax needs to get checked if it has set and then it needs to get removed against the hair growth. Pressure is applied to the waxed area to soothe the skin. Safe to re-apply if necessary. Wrists need to get flexible in order to remove the wax.

6. Post-Waxing:

To seal pores, rinse with cold water. Ensure that there is no residue left behind that could irritate them further. For 24 hours before and after waxing, sun exposure should be avoided.

Routine exfoliating and moisturizing can help reduce ingrown hair growth and keep the skin healthy.
